On Sunday 10th June, a team of 14 brave Leaf supporters took to the skies and faced their fears by jumping out of a plane! Between them, they raised £4500 to support the blood cancer charity who support patients and families in the local Dorset area. One of the skydivers,Simon Blissett said
The Jump day was AMAZING despite waiting around for a few hours for the cloud to clear, as each group got called for their jump, jumped and returned to their loved ones the sense of jubilation and euphoria was incredible. A great day was had by all – that will be remembered for a long time by the jumpers, their family and friends and will help Tash and Leaf continue the outstanding work that we have seen first-hand.
The founder of Leaf, Natasha Hunt adds “Simon Blissett suggested the skydive back in December last year and people have been signing up ever since. It’s incredible to see the great lengths that people go to in order to raise funds for charity, it’s both heartwarming and touching that these brave people have supported Leaf and we are forever grateful”
Leaf will be organising another Skydive later in the year, for more details and to sign up, please contact [email protected]
