Leukaemia & Lyphoma Research

We donate to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research on a regular basis. Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is the only UK charity solely dedicated to research into blood cancers, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

The life saving research is focused on finding causes, improving diagnosis and treatments, and running groundbreaking clinical trials for all blood cancer patients.

Blood cancers including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma affect people of all ages from babies to grandparents. Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research want to be sure that they reach all those touched by leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma and give them the best possible chance of survival.
Around 30,000 people of all ages, from newborn babies to grandparents are diagnosed in the UK with blood cancers every year.

When Leukaemia Research (now Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research) started in 1960 children with leukaemia had virtually no chance of survival. Now thanks to their research nine out of ten survive the most common form of childhood leukaemia.

Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research want to ensure people of all ages are given the best possible chance of survival and of living a normal healthy life after treatment for blood cancer. Patients today are benefiting from their groundbreaking research which has been carried out over the past 50 years.

The achievements of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research are all the more remarkable given that they rely entirely on voluntary support and receive no government funding. However, there is still much to do Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research know research takes time but they are determined to beat blood cancers, however long it takes.

Sue Rae Treasurer from East Dorset Branch of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research “Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research are very grateful for the support given to us by LEAF and over the last couple of years they have kindly donated £6500.00 to the Fund. We hope to continue the close ties we have with LEAF over the coming years.”
